What We do
MARTIAL ARTS FITNESS FOR THE MIND, BODY & SOUL
Karate, (Japanese: “empty hand”) unarmed martial-arts discipline employing kicking, striking, and defensive blocking with arms and legs. Emphasis is on concentrating as much of the body’s power as possible at the point and instant of impact.
Imagine that you were a Samurai during medieval times. That’s a big stretch, right? Still, if you were, you would need to know how to use a sword. But what if you didn’t have that sword with you and the attack came from someone who did? What would you do then?
First, remember that prevention is the best self-defense. Attackers, whatever their objectives, are looking for unsuspecting, vulnerable targets. So be sure to follow general safety tips like being aware of your surroundings, only walking and parking in well-lit areas.
